TMS, a non-invasive therapy, utilizes focused electromagnetic induction to alter specific electrical activities in the brain related to mood regulation. FDA-approved and safe, TMS has shown therapeutic potential in treating a wide range of neurological conditions, ranging from epilepsy and schizophrenia to Alzheimer’s disease.
Founded in 2011, this organization has been experiencing rapid growth in recent years, extending their network of clinics from 48 to over 70 locations, in ten states, since late 2018 alone. To date, they have provided over 320,000 TMS treatments to over 9,000 patients struggling with mental illnesses.
Unlike conventional ECT/shock therapies, TMS is non-invasive. Patients do not require hospitalization or anesthesia, do not experience major side effects, and recover from the treatment within minutes rather than in hours or days. Usually they can drive home. This allows the procedure to be performed in local office clinics, in turn offering an exceptional level of convenience and service availability to the patients most in need of help.
As TMS secures FDA approval for use in treating a greater range of conditions, this group plans not only to open more clinics, but to also ensure that their entire organization operates efficiently as a fully integrated medical service delivery platform with nationwide reach. To do this, they need a steady IT infrastructure plan that can be deployed quickly and reliably in new offices.
INC Installs has served as their primary vendor for onsite data and A/V cabling for about two years, partnering with this organization for much of their recent expansion.
Most of their clinic cabling projects are one-day turnkey efforts. Once they reach out to our team to discuss plans to open a new clinic, INC Installs is already prepared to meet them with an installation plan of our own. A typical clinic installation rarely requires an advanced level of technology on the cabling side: a 24-port patch panel in a dedicated IT area, with Category 5E (568B) data lines extending from the patch panel to all of the various office and cubicle locations. Where necessary, our team mounts 9U wall racks and installs plywood wall reinforcement to ensure structural stability. Their standard clinic layout additionally includes the installation of a 40″ to 55″ LCD video screen with appropriate A/V cabling.
